huh. this is still up?

Guess it's been while since I blogged here... oops?

Things are still going well; life is good, job is good, boy is good.  Doing another season of Team in Training (http://pages.teamintraining.org/wa/Vienna09/flee) to keep myself active.  I'm sitting in my room watching Simpsons episodes, trying to do an overhaul of my room (the ever-present task of cleaning!), and eating oven-roasted vegetables with shrimp over spanish rice.

Still just enjoying living life ... and not blogging, which kinda happens to the un-disciplined like myself when one is busy living life?

Yes, I touch base with people to see how they're doing... but with social networking sites like fb, xanga almost seems antiquated, doesn't it?

hm

xanga emailed me saying i needed to post something so my account stays active and doesn't get deactivated. voila!

guess i spend all my time on zoji and facebook.  definitely new things to report, but i'm sleepy and it's sunday night and i have to work tomorrow.  maybe i'll update later... life is good and there's not much new to say about it at the moment.  just livin' it up whiles i can.

cheers.

...

T-minus 4 days til I go to Taiwan on tickets I purchased just this morning.  My dad left this morning, and the rest of the family and I meet up on Tuesday (local time).

It's been a turbulent Lunar Year so far.  Please please please, everyone, take care of yourselves and others!

Update to come soon...

But until then:

http://www.active.com/donate/tntwaak/flee - yes, I'm doing Team and Training again.

Plus some road trip photos:

(yeah, I road-tripped to the East Coast and flew back last week).

Details later.

quick update of past month in list form

  • September was wedding season part 2.  YTD tally: Played in quartet for 2, attended as guest for 4.
  • A weekend in Columbia Gorge in Oregon for a wedding in which Scott was a groomsman - very pretty/picturesque area, nice ceremony, great reception, amusing table for girlfriends of groomsmen to sit (and drink) at.
  • Impromptu visit from Roland B as he was able to cross the border from BC for a day!
  • A weekend in SF for frosh year roomie's wedding, saw lots of familiar faces from around campus and the dorm that I hadn't seen since graduation or before!
  • SF time also meant catching up with Lisa B, Dan T, and Brett L for an evening.  Then a couple days in Napa for too much wine and to-die-for cuisine (I'd recommend Redd Restaurant in Napa over CIA in St. Helena, but do both if possible and bring lots of $$$)
  • SF = new addition for album of Hamish's travels:
  • I am addicted to Facebook's Scrabulous App.
  • I tried curling (Candian style!) for the first time ever a few weekends ago. This picture is called "Beginner's luck for the win!"
  • Lisa B and Dan T visited Seattle for a weekend so got to catch up with them in my own neighborhood!  Too bad Seattle was unseasonbly cold then!
  • Hit up the Salmon Festival in Issaquah for a good old fashion parade and street fair to celebrate salmon returning to spawn.  Tomorrow will be a pilgrimage to a small bavarian town (Leavensworth) to partake in Oktoberfest.
  • Dr. Scott is moving to Boston at the end of the month to be a Research Scientist.    .  It's been a tumultous month for ze emotions, that's for sure.  Why is airfare so expensive these days?!?!
  • Contemplating NaNoWriMo again this year.  Maybe I'll even do it!
  • Thinking of doing TNT again for the Vancouver Marathon.
